Scent Notes: Petitgrain | Eucalyptus | Sandalwood
Where wide-open skies meet jagged buttes and dusk settles over the prairie—Lost in the Badlands is a moody, grounding fragrance inspired by North Dakota’s rugged western edge. It opens with a breath of cool evening air and dry stone, unfolding into rich layers of sandalwood, weathered cedar, and a subtle hint of dark fruit.
As it deepens, warm amber and smoky musk linger in the air, echoing the final light fading behind the buttes. It’s a scent that feels bold, quiet, and unforgettable—like standing alone in the vastness of the Badlands.
Each candle is hand-poured in small batches into our smooth Black Dream Ceramic Tumbler, featuring a matte black finish and laser-engraved label that gives this vessel a bold, modern edge. It’s a candle inspired by the rugged beauty of North Dakota’s western edge—crafted with care, made to burn slow, and meant to be remembered.
Please note: Due to the artisanal nature of our hand-pouring process, slight variations in appearance may occur. These small differences are part of what makes each 701 Candle truly one of a kind.

Where do I begin! The candle burns great! I get really good hints of each scent. I never get overwhelmed by the smell no matter how long it burns. It is just enough to fill the room with a comforting, feel smell. It burns evenly too so you don’t have to worry about that uneven wax pools up and gets on the wick. Not to mention these aren’t cheaply made, they have beautiful caps and the cup they are in is light but durable. These are the best candles I’ve ever bought. But I think this is my favorite scent!
